About the Role
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office is currently hiring for full-time Deputies, with the Sheriff’s Office. The base salary is $54,797 to $60,797 annually; the successful candidates will be responsible for the performance of routine patrol, crisis intervention and preliminary criminal investigations in an active, problem-solving partnership with the community. Applicants must demonstrate good human relation skills and be able to work well with all segments of the public.
Applicants must be TCOLE Certified;
Deputy Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, TCDRS Retirement - 7% with 2 to 1 match (20 year retirement), 12 paid Holidays, 10 Vacation Days, 12 Sick Days, Overtime. TCOLE Certification Pay and Longevity Pay.
Requirements
To be considered, you must complete a Personal History Statement (PHS) application. You must complete and return the PHS in order to move forward in the process. Your PHS will then be reviewed. If you pass the PHS screening, you will be sent further instructions.
